Hazey ⚸⚶⚳ (they/fae/iel) is a vocalist and interdisciplinary cultural worker who exists and makes work in the spaces where being a person isn’t possible. A co-founder of queer record label Moondrip Collective and cultural education group Femmes Against Empire, they are passionate about Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility in the so called Canadian arts community and in New Brunswick as a whole. They have previously recorded and performed under the name Stellaleona, a project centering low fidelity, high emotions and voices, and a personal reclamation of inner-space and peace of mind as a non-binary lesbian living under capitalism. Their most recent work has been in arts administration; and they are currently the Assistant Box Office Manager at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John, NB. They also serve as Co-Treasurer on the Board of Directors for ChromaNB. As Stellaleona, they performed on the Imperial Theatre stage as the winner of Local 107.3 FEMCORE artist of the year award (2019-2020), as well as performing by invitation in Moncton’s premiere feminist festival – Mirror Miroir. They spearheaded the Moondrip For A Free Palestine project, which released a fundraising compilation and held two benefit performances in 2024. In both their employment and artistic discipline, they aim to make waves and waveforms which positively affect those with marginalized identities (particularly non-binary and gender-creative individuals) and create the physical and emotional space for the future of arts leadership, administration and creation on the East Coast and beyond.
